Chief Arbiter Radu-Catalin Chirila, IA, Engineer specialized in aircraft engines and Sports teacher

 

 

IA since 2003, Mr. Chirila was an arbiter in World Youth 2003, Greece, and several editions of European Youth championships in 2002-2007 in Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro. He was chief arbiter in dozens of Romanian first team leagues, National open championships, Youth national championships.

Recently, Radu Chirila was arbiter in the 2006 Olympiad in Baku and responsible in pairings in European Youth championship, Romania, 2017.

 

FIDE Master since 1992, Mr. Radu Chirila is the father of GM Cristian Chirila, the U16 World Champion in 2007. He speaks currently English and French.

 

 

 

Deputy-Chief Arbiter Ioan Fleisz, IA, Professor, PhD in History sciences

 

 

Mr. Fleisz has a long and successful chess activity as a player, arbiter, team manager, journalist and organizer. International Arbiter since 1991, during his career, he arbitrated in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and France, including a series of World and European youth events (in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia).

Some of the most important international tournaments Mr. Fleisz arbitrated were European Team Championship, Debrecen, 1992 (the first 3 boards), 2 editions of World Junior championships and, in the last years, the traditional First Saturday tournament in Budapest and Romanian and Hungarian first team leagues.

He is fluently in Hungarian language and speaks English and French.

 

 

 

Deputy-Chief Arbiter Dinu-Ioan Nicula, IA, Head of Solvings section is an international arbiter with rich experience, having this title both at Overthe Board Chess and Chess Composition. He speaks currently English, French and Italian.
